脂滴生物学及代谢性疾病灵长类模型
脂滴(lipid droplets)是重要的细胞器。脂滴与其它细胞器互作,响应细胞内外环境变化,动态调节细胞的脂类代谢和能量平衡,参与生物体的生长、发育、生殖、衰老、抗逆境等。脂滴在脂肪组织和非脂肪组织(如肝脏、心脏和肌肉等)中大量沉积,导致肥胖、糖尿病、脂肪肝、动脉粥样硬化等代谢性疾病。
我们利用模式生物秀丽线虫、小鼠、以及细胞系等,结合细胞生物学、遗传学、生物化学及分子生物学等方法和技术,重点研究脂滴的起源和增大调控机理,以及不同生理或者病理条件下脂滴和其它细胞器协同互作调控能量代谢平衡机理。同时,构建代谢性疾病(肥胖、脂肪肝和糖尿病)灵长类(猕猴和树鼩)模型,开展发病机制研究及治疗药物的筛选和评价。
